Gordon Petrie

Comrade Gordon Petrie is a retired Idaho trial judge and retired Idaho Army National Guard Colonel who currently serves as the Mayor of Emmett, Idaho, and as the Department Chaplain for the State of Idaho Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States.

            Comrade Petrie and his wife, Patrice, have been married for 57 years and have three children and eight grandchildren, ranging in age from 24 to 4 years.

            Comrade Petrie joined Post 4900 in Emmett, Idaho, in 2012 after serving in Iraq (OIF III) and was appointed Post Judge Advocate. Other VFW positions held by Comrade Petrie include Post Adjutant, District Commander, and Department Judge Advocate. He currently serves as the VFW Post 4900 Chaplain.
