Matt Biggs retired from United States Navy active duty in 2013. He currently serves on the city council in Kuna, Idaho, is an assistant track and field coach at Boise High School, and is the IT Area Manager for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Boise.
Matt is married to the Department of Idaho Auxiliary Jr. Vice President, Angie, since 2002 and has two adult children.
Matt earned his initial eligibility into the VFW in October 1994, during Operation Uphold Democracy while stationed on USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN-69). He earned membership eligibility by award of the Southwest Asia Service, Armed Forces Expeditionary, and Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medals.
A Gold Legacy Life and VFW National Home Life Member, he served as multiple time Post Commander of Post 7019 in Kuna, District 4 Commander, District 5 Commander and Quartermaster, National Deputy Chief of Staff, Department Surgeon, National Aide-de-Camp, and has earned All-American and All-State Post and District Commander recognition.
Matt currently serves as Department Webmaster since 2022, Post 11065 Senior Vice Commander, and was elected Department Judge Advocate on June 6, 2026 at the Department of Idaho Convention in Boise.
